Parliament set to delay Barroso vote  [FR] [DE]

The European Parliament will not hold a vote on José Manuel Barroso's re-appointment as Commission president at its July plenary, it emerged yesterday (1 July) after the liberals and socialists agreed to wait until the second Irish referendum on the Lisbon Treaty this autumn.


Sweden tables eco-efficiency roadmap for Europe  [DE]

A report by the Stockholm Environment Institute, entitled 'A European Eco-efficient Economy', will provide a basis for discussions during an informal meeting of energy and environment ministers in Ĺre on 23–25 July.
